There are many different interpretations of what SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is - the first thing we’d like to say on this topic is that nobody can guarantee high search engine rankings, and employing SEO ‘tactics’ is not a good long term strategy to obtain search engine rankings. The only method recommended by Google, to obtain good search engine ranking is writing good content.
SEO is about driving traffic to your site through organic search (these are the free search results that Google displays when you submit a search). Your goal at the very least is to get your site listed on the first 3 pages of these search results.
There are three areas that need to be addressed for SEO;
1. Content Write good original content. Add content to the site regularly so that search engines index your site regularly.
We help you to develop a plan so that your website gets updated with new content regularly.
2. Keywords Include the keywords that people are searching for in your content. It is also a good idea to use keywords that are not being targeted by too many other websites to increase your chances of getting a high search engine ranking.
Using Google’s keyword tool we identify the keywords that your audience will use to find your website, and then ensure that these keywords are used appropriately and with enough frequency across your website.
3. Inbound Links Google determines how important your site is based on the importance of the sites linking to you. You need links to your site from other popular sites that Google ranks highly. This can be done by; publishing your articles on other sites with links back to you, commenting on other blogs, or answering questions on forums. Make sure you always say something of value, just putting your link into other sites will damage your reputation and get your barred from these sites.
We help you develop a strategy for building inbound links, idenitfying the sites most appropriate for your company to associated with. We will then implement the initial link building strategy as part of a new website development and can then assist in an ongoing strategy as part of regular maintenance.
